Our hotel and restaurant ‚Sudpfanne‘is located at the foot of the Heidelberg castle as well as at the end of the famous 1,8 kilometer long historic city center’s pedestrian zone. Right by the ‘Kornmarkt’ and ‘Marktplatz’, our hotel is situated right in the center of the old town.
Almost all of the tourist attractions, such as the old bridge, the castle, the ‘Philosophenweg’, the old University and the ‘Studentenkarzer’ are within walking distance of our hotel. Begin your exploration in an optimal location right in the middle of Heidelberg’s historic city center.
Our restaurant offers a diversified menu with simple German cuisine and seasonal meals. Especially selected regional, as well as international wines await you in our rustic vaulted cellar. Beer-lovers will also enjoy our variety of four different draught beers. From Stauder Pilsner to dark Andechser Export… something to suit all tastes! Our restaurant seats up to 60 people and is therefore also a suitable space for larger events.
The separate area called the ‚Schweizer-Stüble` is an ideal little getaway for you to spend companionable hours with friends and loved ones, especially with its ski lodge-like atmosphere.
Right in the center of Heidelberg’s old-town flair, our beer garden is an inviting location to relax and enjoy hot summer days.
